SRIJAN is Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative for Joint Action Network. It aims to inform and involve young people in their sexual health. We coordinate eleven partners, all NGOs from different districts in Maharashtra.
As a part of SRIJAN we are involved with Young people’s Reproductive and Sexual Health Rights (YRSHR). YRSHR first started operating in NMP+ in 2006. The project re-started in July 2008 and finished in February 2009
During this period we conducted three programmes, a State Level Co-ordination Meeting, a State Level Youth Meeting, and a ‘Sex and sexuality’ training workshop for young people. In addition, in December 2008, some of our young people went to Delhi for a National Youth Day.
SRIJAN is funded by Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child
